Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. (Daniel 12:2, NIV)
Martha answered, "I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day." (John 11:24, NIV)
But your dead will live; their bodies will rise. You who dwell in the dust, wake up and shout for joy. Your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead. (Isaiah 26:19, NIV)
"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life. (Matthew 25:46, NIV)
28 "Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice 29 and come out--those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.
(John 5: 28-29, NIV)
I believe that that above scriptures are referring to the following events in the book of Revelation.
The Dead Are Judged
11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20: 11-15, NIV)
The great white throne judgement is what this is commonly refered to. This is the judgement for those who where not taken to heaven in the rapture. Those of us that place our faith in Jesus will be taken in the rapture and will be judged there in heaven, but this judgeing is to determine our rewards in heaven such as our crowns.
