1 One day when the angels came to report to God, Satan also showed up. 2 God singled out Satan, saying, “And what have you been up to?” Satan answered God, “Oh, going here and there, checking things out.” 3 Then God said to Satan, “Have you noticed my friend Job? There’s no one quite like him, is there—honest and true to his word, totally devoted to God and hating evil? He still has a firm grip on his integrity! You tried to trick me into destroying him, but it didn’t work.” (Job 2:1-3, MSG)
Have you ever considered that God thinks of you as his friend? In this passage, God is bragging on Job. Could you imagine our Heavenly Father talking about you the way he talked about Job? I think God thinks more highly of us than we think of ourselves. Let us today choose to esteem ourselves rather than putting our selves down. Think today “I am a great person”, “I am a child of God and there is no greater honor”, “I am a friend of God”, and “I am loved by the most high God.” Even when Satan does rise against us, we have a greater power on our side in our big brother Jesus. Together with God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit; we have nothing to fear.
A life in Jesus, is a life worth living.
