Ideas

Please post your ideas and/or topics you would like to see posted. I will do my best to incorporate them into the daily posting. I have been on a break from posting as much as I was, but I am planning on getting back to posting and writing after Christmas. I am thinking of titling my first work for the first of the year "A New You in the New Year." Any ideas what this may include, stay tuned to find out.

May all of you have a blessed Christmas and don't forget about the truth behind the hustle and bustle of the season - Jesus.

Daily Verse

9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. (1 Peter 2:9-10, NIV)

Find Chirstmas

Christmas is not about receiving presents. It shouldn't be all about giving presents. Christmas should be about his presence. I am talking about the presence of Jesus Christ, Immanuel (God with us). In these remaining seven days I ask each one of you to look at the reason you celebrate Christmas. Are you celebrating gifts or are you celebrating the “Gift.” Jesus is here with us, let us search for him and find him. Unlike that elusive must have Christmas toy that no store has, Jesus never runs out and he will not break with the first hour.

Father God save us from the worlds Christmas and bring our minds back to the true meaning of Christmas. Help us focus on your son Jesus the ultimate gift and not on the gifts under our trees.

"The LORD bless you and keep you; 25 the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; 26 the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace." ' 27 "So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them." (Numbers 6:24-27, NIV)
